Road Maps - Accessories for GPS
Street maps come in two formats:
SD/microSD cards are suitable for the Garmin nüvi, StreetPilot c3xx & c5xx, zūmo and colour handheld GPS systems such as certain eTrex models, GPSMAP 60 and GPSMAP 76 series. The advantage of the SD/microSD card is that you simply insert the card into the GPS and off you go.
DVD are suitable for nearly all Garmin GPS mapping systems including automotive and handheld systems. DVDs are necessary for a number of handheld GPS systems that do not have microSD card slots. What DVDs give you over SD/microSD cards is the ability to install the map data onto your PC or Mac and the flexibility to choose what you place on your GPS.
