Garmin have long been recognised as the leader and one of the true innovators of the outdoor handheld GPS from the popular and affordable eTrex series through to the rugged and stalwart GPSMAP series.
We started selling
both the etrex and GPSMAP series back in 2005 and the models have got better and better through the years.

GPSMAP Recommemdations
The GPSMAP is a middle to high-end handheld and our recommendation is that you go for one that has the barometric altimeter and electronic compass, either the GPSMAP 66st, 66s or 64sx.
