Overview
This map card includes the German states of Brandenburg, Berlin and Sachsen-Anhalt. Brandenburg lies in the east of Germany and is known for its well-preserved natural environment. Brandenburg is more or less the countryside around the Berlin metropolitan area. Within less than an hour, you can get out of the huge city and find yourself in the middle of a forest or a pretty village, on the banks of a lovely lake or in front of a medieval church or castle. Brandenburg shares borders with the German federal states of Sachsen-Anhalt which is home to the Harz National Park. Across the Harz, historic villages and misty mountains make for rewarding biking and hiking in summer and excellent skiing in winter. Germany's capital city Berlin is the largest city of the country. Around one third of the city's territory is composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers and lakes which make it perfect for all outdoor activities. This map contains the whole of these three states on one SD card in scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000.
