Overview
Traveling from what was the original capital of England, Winchester, and running along the chalk escarpment of the South Downs to the white cliffs' Seven Sisters and Beachy Head at Eastbourne, this trail covers some of the most beautiful lowland routes in the country. It takes in numerous attractive villages and woodlands, and is rich in history as the path follows a route that has been traveled since the end of the Ice Age. Length of path 160km/100miles.
