Overview
In the north of the region, the edge of the Black Mountains provide excellent opportunities for hiking and biking in the hills, providing views of rugged escarpments and untamed moorland. To the east, the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Vale of Usk offer spectacular limestone gorges and densely wooded ravines, contrasting with a tranquil and unspoiled working landscape, which can be enjoyed to the full on the Usk Valley Way.
