This map card includes the German states of Sachsen and Thüringen. Sachsen´s history spans over 1000 years. This south-east state of Germany is historically renowned and has developed a culture that is typically Saxon. Sachsen is the perfect place for long, adventurous hikes due to its many European hiking trails. In the Ore Mountain region alone, you will find around 5000km of well-signposted hiking trails. Cyclists can discover 1000 lakes, the Zittau Mountain Range, cities such as Bautzen, mining landscapes and parks. With this on offer, Sachsen is the perfect destination for all outdoor enthusiasts. Thüringen, the Green Heart of Germany is located in the central part of the country. Nature lovers are at home in this region; you will find mountains, forests, lakes and river valleys. "The Rennsteig" is a high altitude path through the Thuringian Forest - a long distance path that is one of Germany's most famous walking routes. This map card covers the whole of these two states on one SD card in scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000.
