Garmin ECG app now available for Epix Pro (Gen 2), fenix 7 Pro and Tactix 7 AMOLED

Last month saw the launch of the Garmin ECG app in the EU for the fenix 8 series, Venu 3 series, and Enduro 3.
The app allows you to record your heart rhythm and check for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib) or normal sinus rhythm.

Change of Tactics?
In January, Garmin said they had no plans to release the ECG app for earlier watches even though the Epix Pro (Gen 2), fenix 7 Pro
and Tactix 7 AMOLED all have the necessary hardware and software to support ECG functionality.
The good news is that Garmin, on mature reflection and plenty of less-than complimentary internet commentary, have reconsidered that decision and now owners of these watches can also enjoy the new ECG app feature.
All ends well when common sense prevails!

WHAT SMARTWATCHES ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE ECG APP?
So in addition to the Garmin fenix 8, Enduro 3 and Venu 3, these watches have now been added to the ECG app line-up.
HOW DO I GET THE APP ONTO MY WATCH?
To add the app to your watch follow the steps outlined in the earlier blog post from 20th January. It is a very straighforward process and should only
take a couple of minutes to set up.
