The new premium Garmin epix 2 packs a punch with its stunning AMOLED display.
Fashioned from the Garmin fenix 7, the epix 2 is identical to its sibling except that
it uses a 65,000 colour touchscreen AMOLED display rather than the 64-colour transflective MIPS display in the fenix. The epix 2 literally shines in terms of display brightness, clarity (especially the topographic maps) and detail. The epix is available in one size, 47mm case, and there are two models - the standard epix 2 and epix 2 Sapphire with a
scratch-free crystal lens.
Battery performance is not in the same league as that available on the fenix 7. Our recommendation is that the epix 2 should be a contender if you are happy with 6-16 day battery life in watch mode and 9-30 hours with GPS because the display really does define this watch, otherwise the fenix 7 is the one to go for as its battery life beats the epix 2 hands down.
