What new features have been added to the Garmin Fenix 8?
In summary the Garmin fenix 8 is a consolidation of the Fenix 7 PRO and Epix PRO (Gen 2). There are editions with AMOLED displays and MIP (SOLAR) displays. The new features are:
- NEW - Added internal speaker and microphone for taking calls, offline voice assistance and control, the ability to record geotagged voice notes.
- NEW - Added 40 metre dive rating (EN13319 certified) with depth guage and support for scuba and dive activities.
- NEW - Increased the display size of 43 mm watches from 1.2" to 1.3 and 47 mm watches from 1.3" to 1.4.
- NEW - For the solar editions, an improved solar panel that increases battery life of the watch and gives better screen clarity.
- NEW - Leakproof inductive metal buttons to ensure water does not get in the case (an issue we have encountered with the fenix 7/epix).
- NEW - New sensor guard to protect microphone and barometer.
- NEW - Enhanced map navigation and features including dynamic round-trip routing.
- NEW - Targeted strength training plans and sport-specific strength workouts.
- NEW - Revised more intuitive watch user interface to make it easier to understand and get around.
- NEW - Additional watch faces and revised watch face editor.
What is availability like and when will I receive my order?
We are expecting stock to arrive in from Garmin commencing the week 09/09/2024. Some Garmin fenix 8 editions will not be available
immediately but are likely to follow in the coming weeks. Each Monday, we get weekly updates from Garmin on delivery times so check back for the latest
ETAs.
If your Garmin fenix 8 smartwatch is in stock, delivery is normally within 1-2 working days. We only ship within
the Republic of Ireland and use either DPD or An Post. To avoid delays it is important to include your Eircode
with the delivery address.
If your Garmin fenix 8 is not in stock, either the date the watch is due into us is displayed at time of purchase or it can be pre-ordered.
ETAs are provided by Garmin which unfortunately can change and we have no contol over this. That being said, once stock lands into us it
is shipped immediately.
