Overview
The new Garmin Montana 710i replaces the Garmin Montana 700i and features a rugged 5-inch touchscreen, inReach satellite communication for global SOS, TopoActive maps, multi-GNSS support, ABC sensors, and up to 24 hours battery life in GPS mode - ideal for hiking, motorbiking, and off-road adventures.
Features
The primary feature of the Garmin Montana 710i is global connectivity to send messages, SOS alerts and
tracking information via the 100% global Iridium satellite network instead of relying on smartphone coverage. To use inReach you must have an active subscription and
you can find the details here, inReach Subscription Plans.
InReach technology (or an equivalent Personal Locator Beacon - PLB) is strongly advised if you reguarly explore off the beaten track.
