The deluxe pack includes what we think is the best combination for the nüvi 1240.
- myPOIs Premium+. Your 1 year subscription includes the locations of over 700 fixed and mobile Irish Road Safety Cameras and over 50,000 extra points of interest (POIs) that you can download to your sat nav from www.mypois.ie.
- Garmin Leather Carry Case. The leather carry case is an essential accessory to protect the screen.
Verdict
The nüvi 1240 is part of the new nüvi 1xxx series from Garmin, which offers a thinner and lighter model from the whole nüvi family. The new design makes it perfect for pedestrians especially with the inclusion of the new feature of enhanced pedestrian mode available through the optional cityXplorer maps.Note the cityXplorer maps do not come preloaded on any of the nüvi 1xxx series. They can only be obtained as a download from the Garmin website at an additional cost.
