Verdict
The same specification as the Garmin nüvi 250 but comes with a large 4.3" widescreen.Full detailed maps of Ireland, the UK, Western and Eastern Europe.
The GPS is a simple navigator - it does not come with Bluetooth®, a MP3 player or traffic information. The screen size is 4.3" diagonal and it has an integrated high sensitivity GPS receiver.
Note that the GPS does not have an option to specify a vehicle type when calculating routes so it is not suitable for trucks and camper vans.
Recommendation
Whether you choose the standard pack or deluxe pack, the nüvi 250 Widescreen is excellent value for money.The single most important accessory is the Leather Carry Case as this is essential to protect the screen. If you can stretch to it we would highly recommend the AC Home Charger and the Portable Friction Mount along with the Deluxe pack.
Our experience is that the home charger is almost an essential accessory as often the charge from the in-car charger or USB cable is insufficient to keep the nüvi's internal lithium-ion battery fully charged or in tip-top condition.
The portable friction mount is great for detering would-be thieves of your sat nav as it does not leave any indication that the vehicle has a GPS system when the car is unattended.
