The deluxe pack includes what we think is the best combination for the nüvi 255.
- myPOIs Premium+. Your 1 year subscription includes the locations of over 500 fixed and mobile Irish Road Safety Cameras and over 25,000 extra points of interest (POIs) that you can download to your sat nav from www.mypois.ie.
- Garmin Leather Carry Case. The leather carry case is an essential accessory to protect the screen.
Verdict
Full detailed maps of Ireland, the UK, Western and Eastern Europe.The GPS is a simple navigator - it does not come with Bluetooth®, a MP3 player or traffic information. The screen size is 3.5" diagonal and the integrated high sensitivity GPS receiver makes the nüvi 250 very portable.
Note that the GPS does not have an option to specify a vehicle type when calculating routes so it is not suitable for trucks and camper vans.
Unlike the nüvi 250, the nüvi 255 has two new features - "Where Am I" and HotFix. The "Where Am I" function shows you your exact location and the nearest police station, petrol station and hospital. The HotFix function helps acquire satellites quicker.
