The nüvi 5000 is ideal for those with larger vehicles that need navigation on a big screen. View map detail, driving directions, photos and more in bright, brilliant color. Its sunlight-readable, 5.2-inch display is easy to read and gives you an extended view of your surroundings. Preloaded with street level mapping of Ireland, the UK and Europe, a built-in FM transmitter that allows you to wirelessly transmit audio, including MP3s through the vehicle's stereo system and multi-stop A-to-B-to-C navigation with route planning that automatically sorts your destination to provide an efficient route.

 

Excellent Mapping

The Garmin nüvi 5000 comes preloaded with the latest Mapsource City Navigator NT 2008 street-level maps for Ireland, the UK and Europe. Based on Q2, 2007 Navteq map data, there is street-level detail for every town and village in Ireland and all the recent major road additions and upgrades are available.

 

Navigation Features

Route planning is made simple on the nüvi 5000. With ability to save up to 10 routes, you can specify via points and preview simulated turns on the big screen. Additionally, it auto sorts multiple destinations providing the driver with the most direct and efficient route for errands, deliveries or sales calls. Drivers who want to keep track of where they have been can turn on the track log feature and see an electronic bread crumb trail that shows their previously traveled route on the display.
